Import Tax Aircraft Parts/Engine

It's been a while since I last imported aircraft parts from the US (Over $1000), I can not remember if they import TAX free?

Free Trade Agreement signed last year - very few taxes left on anything coming in from the US now - just GST to pay.

I bought in some Aircraft hand-held radios worth over $1k and surprisingly they were free of all import taxes. Unfortunately the accompanying Bose and DC's weren't.

I think Miraz is right - 'just' GST on everything from $1000 upwards - especially on those nice clean tidy aircraft everyone seems to be bringing in - quite a slug.
