If it sounds too good to be true!
I believe such organisations have a different take on the situation. I feel confident in saying it is a legal requirement to advertise said position, but the reality is the real criteria is in-house and so are the prospective candidates. The same can be said for the QLD GOV Kingair 350 and any other state and territory government positions.
It's the sort of job advertisment that offers hope, only to insideously pull the carpet out from under ones feet. I am happy to stand corrected, so, if any one has scored such a position please post your experience.

That QLD GOV B350 Job is famous for a complete joke. The even did interviews to tick all the boxes, while all that happened was the particular King Air First Officer just got re-employed. How much money did that pointless exercise cost !!!!! Damn Gov Idiots. (I wish they had a middle finger here)
The advert isn't that hard to find on the NSW police website. It seems the topic originator forgot to add that it is a 6 month only contract for the APEC summit...
I doubt anyone internal would be jumping at the job for only 6 months.

It might be a Skyfox Gazelle "deep cover" survelliance aircraft. 7 hours on 48 litres @ 50 knots. Would you believe the QLD Police dept ordered half a dozen 5 minutes before the factory went under. (they never paid for them though so nothing lost).

Just give them a call, it sounds like a really interesting position, if I hadn't just started with a new employer I would be quite keen myself...
Job was advertised on jobs.nsw.gov.au, it did say that it was a temporary position and I would expect that it is a genuine position given the short term status.
Cheers, HH.
PS: They are also looking for another heli-head too.
