Ultralights - those photos show a familiar stomping ground... I do miss those cloudless beautiful blue sky winter days... But then I can remember seeing sights like Lodowns top photo while flying IFR around that same area...

Too bad that airport between the hills and the nearmost power station is closed now - sad story that one

Sorry for the 'links only' folks - couldn't be bothered taking the time to transfer pics to a more friendly web host...

400 odd metres, long grass, tailwind landing, and that bloke has just chased a pig off...

Lenticular beauty

PNG sunrise

Moutain of note - PNG highlands

The mighty Twotter in its element...

That's a 9 thousand foot mountain below the thunderstorm anvil...

Reefs near... Not telling! Somewhere close to the equator in tropical paradise!

For Mr Chuckles...

Where else would you find a control tower THIS colour?!

I remember VJ's, Gwen12's, Dutchmen, Sharpies. Our swimming test was being thrown off the end of the pier. The guy in charge of us cadet sailers was a retired tugboat skipper.

How about a few unfortunate incidents.

No serious injuries in any of these.

Aerostar, Turbo model

235, was a good machine, like pipers version of the c182

161 I Think

AZTEC

I can recall watching 9 accidents happen, some of them were way to close, unfortunately I can't find photo's for all of them.

Yeah but that photo will do more for air force recruiting than any clip of some young guy whizzing up valleys at dot feet with his backside on fire!
