In addition to the hail and microbursts, the thunderstorms in the area had some other stuff...

Now it's reportedly accumulating on runways such that they're taking the snow plows out of mothballs...

DEN can't seem to catch a break today....

FWIW...

We had brief heavy rain in the metro area today, along with some very cold winds.

We're also "late" for our spring tirade of hail.

Monday, we had some severe wind which uprooted trees.

Don't like the weather here? Wait a minute, it will change.

During spring, you can't really expect anything other than what will be going on weather-wise will be totally unexpected.

Must be a supreme pain in the ass out at DIA...

Please be careful coming in!

The hail missed KDEN. I landed there about 0300Z, didn't look like they even got any rain. No damage in the parking lot. Those pics aren't very far from the airport though, maybe 20 miles. 12" accumulation of hail!!! I've never even heard of that before.
