Any idea for a J1 school in USA?

I'd be interested in finding a school that provides a j1 visa to a ppl holder (like me). I'd love to finish my training and then work as a FI.
any idea?

they say that something is going to change with the j1 visa.....any info?

thanks a lot!

Unfortunately you are a little too late, the J-1 program is about to be phased out:

I know but the J-1 is good for 24 months so unless you applied for one in June 2008 you are not eligible anymore.
At least that's my understanding.
It might be possible that they will issue 2 year visa's up to June 2010 which would allow you to stay/work till June 2012 but I doubt it.
get in touch with either AOPA or the US embassy/consulate.

I think you don't have the right info.
On february 2009 I contacted a school in florida for a J1.... I had to finish my exams so i couldn't start, but the j1 was still active, and I think that It's still active now

latest time to issue DS forms for J1 visa application is end of this calendar year.

Latest entry is beginning or end of June 2010. Search for it here, pro pilot studies section thread. Never remember it.

Then the 2 years start, person is guaranteed to finish in peace.
Doesn't help those who can't make it because of funds or other commitments.

Canada allows students to get work permits

In Canada if you come on a student visa you can get a work visa and work as a flight instructor for the length of time you where a student. This program is not ending and is working well for us and our international flight instructors.

Delta Connection Academy used to provide J-1 VISAS... like you said all the schools were getting rid of the VISAS, so to my understanding DCA does not provide J-1 visas anymore
