Forty four hours of sim, my brain would be jello. I think most of the 737 mills do 12 and a check.

I got a 737 type through USAir in '96 (for free) after having not flown in three years (ok a biannual in a c152 was there somewhere). Passed with a Fed and a Designee giving me the ride with no extra training, just the course.
I ended up working for them three years later, and yes the Airbus program drove me nuts in '99 when they didn't really know what they were doing (I had prior Airbus training in MIA and was a current captain), by the time I was furloughed in 02 it was really quite good.
Charlotte is awful though, lousy food unless you like it fried.

Do it in PHX. The weather is better, the food is better and the instructors know what they are doing. The former West instructors have a lot more knowledge of the Airbus that the CLT instructors. The program was dumbed down from the AWA program during operational integration.
