This video contains some interesting analysis of the cash positions of several US Airlines. These guys think a 20% reduction in capacity is in order with oil at current levels.
One thing that stood out - they say Southwest has fuel hedges for 2008 at $50/barrell for almost 75% of their fuel purchase needs for the year.

They predict imminent bankruptcy for Mesa and potential bankruptcies for US and AMR in the near future.

I had no idea that a number of Regional carriers were doing so poorly. One demise that I would not shead a tear for is the Mesa Air Group, for the employees that lose their jobs, of course, there is always sympathy. However the airline as a corporation has done much to accelerate the downward trend in the industry, IMHO.
