Question Airline basings in Hawaii

I would like to work for a US airline and live in Hawaii (I have FAA license and right of US abode). Besides the island airlines, what are the opportunities of a Hawaii base with some of the majors (United, Continental, Northwest, etc)? Can you get a Hawaii base from day one or does it take some years of attaining seniority within the airline to transfer there? Also, does it restrict your promotion potential?
