KLM TO LAUNCH SERVICE TO TRONDHEIM, NORWAY
AMSTELVEEN, August 14, 2002 - KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced today the launch of twice-daily round-trip service between Amsterdam and the Norwegian city of Trondheim. KLM will start service with the 2003 summer schedule on March 30, 2003. The commuter service will be operated by KLM’s regional affiliate, KLM cityhopper, with Fokker 70 jet equipment. The early morning and evening flights will provide Norwegian business travelers with the opportunity to travel on business for the day and return home the same evening. The flights will also provide convenient connections with services on the global network operated by KLM and partner airlines from the Amsterdam Schiphol hub.
Trondheim is the fifth Norwegian destination served by KLM from Amsterdam. The other destinations are Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, and Torp.
The announcement of the new service follows closely behind the announcement of KLM’s August 25, 2002, launch of service between the Scottish city of Aberdeen and Stavanger in Norway. This service will also be operated twice daily as a commuter service by KLM cityhopper with Fokker 70 regional jetliners.
In recent years KLM has succeeded in building a strong position in the Norwegian market, partly due to its partnership with the former Norwegian airline Braathens. Despite the termination of the partnership in late 2001, KLM can maintain and expand its position and customer preference.

Foreløpige tider:

TRD-AMS 06.20 - 08.40
AMS-TRD 09.40 - 11.55
TRD-AMS 12.35 - 14.55
AMS-TRD 20.05 - 22.20
