SAS rosters

Hi,

I understand they have variable rosters in SAS. Does anyone how the rosters usually look on for example the CRJ-900 or Dash 8? Do they have overnights even on shorter/commuter routes?

Thanks for any info.

SAS do not operate DH8 any more. CR9 is The type with most overnights in the SAS short haul fleet. If you want to, you get mainly 3-5 day trips. 50% of the pilots have fixed roster, flying 5 duty- 4 off - 5 duty - 3 off plus 8 extra days per year on CR9. + vacation. In variable group you have 12 days off per month, and max 185 days of duty per year. Pilots on 737/MD80/A32 and A34/33 have 6 more days off pr year than on CR9.

Hey SK-pilot

Do you have an overview of the terms and conditions that would be offered new F/Os?

Variable:

180 days off a year - 36 days vacation = 144 days ie. 12d off a month.

How does this compare to Norwegian?

SAS new collective agreement:
VG RC (CR9): 180 days off pr year, min 12 F pr month, 42 days VA + 8 F7
VG other AC: 186 days off pr year, min 12 F per month, 42 days VA + 8 F7
FG RC (CR9): 5D-4F-5D-3F, 42 days VA + 8F7
FG other AC: 5D-4F, 42 days VA, but no F7
- VG=variable group FG=fixed group VA=vacation F=off D=duty F7=extra day off
- VA include both D and F days, eg. 9 VA reduce F by 4/3,5 days

Dont know where empati 36 days came from, but count for yourself...

Regarding other T&C for new FOs, I would ask SAS; new or old payscale. Top salary is the same on both, but start salary is lower on the new, but independent of which AC type you start on.

You can find the payscale on many websites. But do not torget the pension; huge differences between companies may occur...!
