what is level B1? I've thought hard about learning German, but it's too damn hard of a language, is not it? It does look like a great opportunity though.

Actually, German is a very structered language and not that hard to learn for Scandinavians. From what I remember from back in the day at school, when learning German, we were told that approx 40% of the Norwegian language is inherited from German. Not that eerything sounds the same, or is spelled the same either, but the similarities are there for sure. So, assuming you speak Swedeish fluently, you shouldn`t have too many hardships learning German. However, with all things, you need to keep it current to be fluent. Ordnung musst sein!

Ordnung musst sein?
Ordnung muss sein.
Eller Ordnung muß sein om man vil være helt korrekt.
(synd jeg ikke kan resten av språket så jeg kunne vært kvalifisert

"Problem" is not the language level required to pass interview and to be able to speak to colleagues. The problem is to pass the DLR test (this is mandatory I believe) and to pass the Interpersonal selection in German. This is probably not easy unless you are pretty much fluent in German.

As far as I understand they are only offering temporary contracts at the moment. These may be converted to full time positions in the future.

Good luck!

Jager34, my ponit exactly Not having used the language for ages now seems to make my grammar incorrect. Or was it that German beer? Anyway, you get my point

But I think you will be disappointed if you think you can learn a language fluently, with most of its quirks and anamolies, within a short period of time.

http://www.pilotjobsnetwork.com/jobs/Lufthansa_CityLine

Recruitment will be 4 steps.

1. DLR test, 1 day data based assessment. More details on lufthansa-pilot.de.

2. Sim screening

3. Firmenqualifikation ( FQ) Assessment center. There you will be needing good German skills for e.g. group discussions and disputation with psychologists.

4. Interview

Viel Spass :-)
