I would call HR department and check if I could go another day. Normaly they are taking in candidates on several days.
But if it not possible I would quit my vacation and go for the interview.

...........But again that is just me

Good luck!

Has anyone been for an interview with them recently?

interviews-experience

I'm a little curious about your experince who have been invited to Air Baltic interview. At the moment I'm a little disapointed because I haven't been invited to an interview. For the first of it I don't have a type-rating and I don't have a JAR license. Could that be the reason, that I don't have the JAR license? To get this license is pretty easy in fact, only for me to travel to my homecountry and do this exam. I've almost finished a BS in engineering so I guess that would count as a benefit for the company. How many of you guys have finished a University degree???
Hope to hear from you

Its all about having a rating if you wanna join Airbaltic. I applied 2 yrs ago ago never heard from them then I got a 737 rating I updated my application on a Friday the following Monday I was invited for a interview.

Atleast you guys have not been told your not qualified.
I hope You will get a positive answer eventually.
I think AirBaltic will need a fair amount of 737 drivers as:
1: From what i have heard, the Fleet is expanding
2: Pilots are leaving for other jobs

Mike Lima

Did you go there with a 737 TR ? And was the interview tough? Im suprised they are turning people away with TR's...

I would assume theres two types of interviews, one for people with a TR and one for people which dont have one and are hoping AB will bond/pay for it. Anyway I have mine coming up in October although they kindly post poned my date due to my circumstances.

I was at the interview 5 weeks ago and I have not heard anything. I have tried to call them but the answer I get is that they are still doing interviews.

Mike where did you get a better job offer?

"Im suprised they are turning people away with TR's..."

Well beeing typerated isn't exactly a special qualification except it's logically saving some training costs for a company. I still think (underlined) that there are a few pilots out there with typeratings to pick from? I indeed see people attending interviews everytime I am at the office!
