Talking "Postman Dave", Isle of Skye, Scotland

Ok I hope this is in a vaguely appropriate forum so to start with, If you're with an Airline, at an airport or just down route, could you .......

This is an appeal to any of you travellers, who may from time to time find yourself with a spare postcard or in an alcohol induced humerous mood wish to join in for a bit of a laugh and send Postman Dave a card.

This is in a similar vein to the story of "The Marham Tyre Bay" but in short about 3 years ago I met a guy up on Skye who is a Postman, and called Dave. I have been sending him postcards from wherever I have globally ended up and have had friends who travel doing likewise. He now has quite a collection and we have opted for the minimalist address approach as hinted at by the title of this topic. If posted on the Island you can get away with "Postman Dave", from within the UK and maybe even within Europe, the suffix Isle of Skye only need be added and globally add Scotland.

Incidentally, if you end up on Skye and have sent him a card if you ask in the cellar bar at the Dunvegan Hotel or in the Misty someone I am sure will point out Dave to you or introduce you to him. No need to mention me in the cards, I have no monopoly on this, he has had cards from all sorts of people who have had this story passed on by word of mouth. Also if you do join in or even just pass the idea along I'll update a result if there is one....

Over 20 years ago I was made to remember "Roller, Ball, Roller, Roller, Ball" ......I have never used it or really needed to know it either!

First one is in....

To whoever sent it in, Dave called to say he had a card sent from Venezuela....
P.S. this will not become a blow by blow account of what has or hasn't arrived...as i earlier said if you get up to Skye you can see the result.

I take it that was for a Gnome, Axel? I still remember that one, although why a pilot would want to know I cannot imagine.
