Goulash in Budapest

Many thanks for the help given in other posts, and as we are heading off to Budapest in a week or so can anyone help out with a restaurant for goulash and a cafe for morning coffee as well as a bar for afternoon drinks?
Thanks in anticipation.

On layover in Budapest had goulash soup for lunch in dim bar.
Scooped up mushroom and ate. It wasn't a mushroom; it was a Scotch Bonnet Chilli much beloved of Jamaican diners.
I explained my gyrations ten minutes later when the power of speech returned

From a Hungarian colleague:

Resto: Paprika Dozsa Gyorgy ut 72, Budapest 1071, +36 20-294-79-44
Must book!

Cafes and bars: Vaci Street in Pest, most famous is Gerbaud
In Buda, lots around the castle.

More insider information is being sought from her brother, who is on the spot (Pest or Buda, one of the two ).

EDIT: this from the brother: Szegedi Halászcsárda - Budapest, Belgrád rakpart

Another Hungarian pal comes up with this:

Quote:
http://www.andante-borpatika.hu/index.php?language=en (wine specialities+ special wine snacks)

Fatl tterem | dvzljk a Fatl vendgl honlapjn! (huge nice plates, typical Hungarian food)

Gerbeaud
(beautiful sweets, desserts bit fancy as I remember)

Stonesoup restobar (excellent soups, which fills you up, as it has meat and veggies as well. Like Gulash soup.)

NAGYI PALACSINTÁZÓJA (pancakes, close to square Batthyány. This website is only in Hungarian)

Goulash in Hungary is basically a soup - not the stew it becomes when exported... 'Tis verrrry nice
