Munich Airport Hotels:

Hi All,

Could anybody possibly assist?

We may have contract to base 4/5 crew members in Munich from November through until Feb 2012. Anybody know of hotels that have a good location, I.E. In village, town and that may do a longer term deal/extras for the crew? This would be for 4/5 nights per week.

Hope for some answers & Heel erg bedankt

Freising is a village, that is close to the airport, and reported to be home for MUC based crews, especially commuting ones. I'd start looking there, unfortunately I can't comment on the Hotacs.

Hotel 'Gasthof zur Muehle' in Ismaning (an outer suburb of Munich). Approx 20mins drive from the airport. Also its only a 5 min walk from the S bahn (S8 line) with the airport in one direction and central Munich in the other (also 20 mins). Good restaurant.

Schwaig - Oberding is very close. There's a NH Hotel ( 2 km from the terminal) and Sheraton ( 1 km further on towards Erding) and both have shuttle buses.

Private jet mentioned Hotel 'Gasthof zur Muehle' in Ismaning. For some reason it rang a bell, so I chased it up and loved the photos of the place - looks good and thus a good find since I use MUC a lot. Many thanks.

BTW booking.com has it listed as Hotel zur Mühle

Thumbs up Freising-Marriot

When flying to MUC we stay at this hotel (****?). Freising it´s a small pleasant town, with good restaurants. Train takes 20/25 Minutes to Munich central station.

"Freising is a town in Bavaria, Germany, and capital of the district Freising. Total population 48,500. The city is located north of Munich at the Isar river, near the Munich International Airport. Anyone taking off or landing at Munich airport can see the city to the north with its two famous hills, the cathedral hill with the bishop's castle and the Freising cathedral and the Weihenstephan hill with the oldest working brewery in the world."
