Where to eat in Wellington NZ

The Matterhorn is great - has won awards for it's food and ambience....
Logan Brown in Wellington has fine dining however you'd better be prepared to spend some $ if you go there....

Hmmmm think I'll stick to the first couple of cheap meals, unsure about the latter.......

you can get nice fush and chups at Dockside Restaurant, Queens Wharf. Good beers too.

It depends on what sort of place you are looking for, here are some "Best" recommendations from a recent food supplement in the Dompost.

Fish & Chips Bays Takeaways in Island Bay.
KK Malaysian in Guznee St.
Shinobi Sushi Bar in Vivian St.
Roti Pratha in Kelburn
Rasa in Cuba St for masala dosa.
Viva Mexico in Cuba St.

Crazy Horse Steakhouse in Willis St. A bit pricey but you won't find a better steakhouse in NZ.

Wgtn eats

Roti Chennai does Indian well - on Victoria Street - cheap too
A friend's just put these in to boot: Capitol, Ortega and Kayu Manis.....
Where Bastille's use to be in Mt Vic they do yum seafood......
And in my neck of the woods, yes a stones throw from my fav topic aviation (the airport) is the cafe Polo's also good if you like hanging out with film peeps.
Heard the food and service at the new Roxy Cinema in Miramar is refreshingly good as well.....good effort 'P.J and R.T'

Smile Fush n Chups

Not so far from the yummy Fush n Chup place is one called 'The Port' by Chaffers Marina, they're seafood chowder is the bestest I've tried
