MNL stopover

I'm going to Manila in a few days and will be arriving late in the evening after a long day of traveling. Any recommendations on a decent hotel near the airport that offers crew discounts? Also, I am heading towards Cavite city and would like advice on things to see and do. Should I rent a car or is it too risky? Any advice is appreciated as this is my first trip to the Philippines.

Cheers.

Normally use the The Heritage Hotel Manila, Roxas Boulevard corner EDSA, Pasay City as quite close to the airport.

Agreed. The Heritage isn't up there with the top Manila hotels but its is close and costs far far less. It is very handy for the airport and Mall of Asia if you want a wide selection of food outlets overlooking Manila bay.

Its also has very good access to some of Manila's other evening attractions if so inclined.

You do get value for money (the hotel I mean).

Best,

Sicknote

PS Often see flight crew in and out there. My PPL unfortunately does not cut the mustard there.

I use Traders when overnighting in MNL. Nice views over the bay and go for the 19th floor if you can.

Do NOT rent a car. Use a hotel taxi from the concierge. You'll see why when you get there.
