Hi There

Lots of experience in maun. It is a small dusty town in the middle of the kalahari with a donkey population that is out of controll. There are only really two hotels, RILEY's and the SEDIA. these are ok and have swimming pools and aircon.

Maun does not have alot to offer in terms of entertainment. However if you are in maun you will be 20 minutes in a C206 from one of the most stunning wilderness areas in the world. There are many companies catering to the high end of safari tourism. My advice is to check out the following companies, 'Abercrombie and Kent', orient express, wilderness safaries, ker and downey, and Gunn,s camp. These are usually quite expensive but for a short stay and depending on time of year you could get a reasonable deal. It will include the flight out to camp.

If you can't leave the aircraft then at least go to one of the many charter companies at the airport and go for a 'game flight' to see the animals. Mack Air and Safari Air and many others. Well worth it.

Have fun
