48hrs in Miami?

I have got 48hrs with in Miami Wed to Fri, any good suggestions for reasonably priced bars, restaurants and interesting things to do during the day? - Keep it clean - lol

Also what is the city like safety wise?, are there any no go areas?, is the public transport easy to use or would one recommend cabs?
