Leeds (LBA)

Doing a bit of heli training near LBA, but the lovely people at FR decided to change the return flight back to Dublin to 22:15. Can anyone recommend a nice place to get a bit to eat and chill out for a couple of hours before heading home. Looking for something within about 30-40 mins of the airport.

Leeds restaurants

If you get a cab into the city it's only about 20 mins from the airport. Depends how much you want to spend... Anthony's is an AMAZING restaurant (michelin stars). Also there is the usual Nandos, Hard Rock etc.
If you're feeling stylish you couls eat upstars in Harvey Nichols. Browns on the Headrow is nice too! There's more than 100 restaurants in Leeds city centre so you'll be spoiled for choice!

If you like curry, Bradford might suit, as might the Corner Cafe on Burley Road. The CC is just across a side-turning from a large pub...

From bt.com:
The Corner Cafe
telephone: 0113 2346677 - 104 Burley Road, Leeds, W Yorkshire. LS3 1JP

The onion bahjis are very highly recommended. There is also a lot of 'ethnic' food on Chapeltown Road. When I lived in Leeds I didn't go as I was the other side of town, it had a rough reputation but the main bits are probably fine.

Cool! A Hard rock in Leeds! Last wednesday I was pointed out to a fish and chip bout 5 mins from LBA. However i decided in the end to go to the resturant in the Premier Inn across the road. Beefeater, fairly normal, did the job!

That chippie you didn't go to is (or was) ace! And being in Yorkshire, it serves delights such as mushy peas and chip butties... How I miss them!
