| Quite a few western style pubs / bars. Brass Monkey is worth a shot, good pub grub as well as beer and sports. Carnegies is OK but depending on what time you are there has a cover charge I dimly recall from my last visit 6 months ago.
You will need your hotel concierge to write the name of the place you want to go in Chinese characters, and make sure you pick up a card from your hotel for the return journey, unless you speak or write it yourself. Taxis and taxi drivers are generally pretty good, reliable and honest, but not terribly good at English. |
