Liverpool - Accommodation Required

I have been posted by my employers to work from Liverpool for at least 6 months. I am looking for a suitable place to stay within ten minutes drive of the airport on a long term basis. My work pattern is 5 on 4 off - I would go back home when on days off.

Thanks for any help.

Liverpool accom

Hi,

There is a very nice Marriott within 5 minutes drive of the airport. Marriott Liverpool South. It is actually on the site of the old airport and the original control tower is part of the building.

Friendly staff and a decent restaurant. Liverpool city centre approx 15 minutes drive from same.

The Daresbury hotel mentioned (J11 of the M56) is a nice hotel (and has a virtually new gym/leisure complex but it is at least 20 minutes from the airport
and involves crossing the Runcorn bridge which can get very congested.

Best wishes,

Marc

The Marriott's definitely the best one in the area, but it don't come cheap.
If your employers are willing to pay that's fine, but if not, try the Innkeepers Lodge about 15 minutes drive away in Aigburth.

If you need any other help, PM me.

Putting the clock back 13 ish years there was a pub in Garston, I can't remember the name of it but recall it was on the corner of Horrocks Ave. & Woolton Road (check location on www.multimap.com).

In those days the landlord (Les), great guy & typical scouser, £12.50 for B&B (with receipt) or £10.00 (without receipt), I worked nightshifts thus took him a few morning newspapers home from work and you should have seen the size of the breakfast waiting for me

OK, the accommodation was not the best but it was convenient and cheap.

I did look in to bedsits etc. but it seems the Liverpool idea of a bedsit is sharing a house with others, I would have wanted my own front door.

LiverPool - Accomadation

Hi ,

As you are on a 6 mth contract it may be cheaper for you to lease a small studio or apartment as the prices are reasonable at the moment as there is a lot of flats lying empty .

although saying that you can get a room at the formule 1 hotel in liverpool city centre for as little as £3o a night www.hotelformule1.com .

Its about a 20 min journey to speke tho from The city centre .

Some good areas would be Aigburth , Allerton , Speke + Garston ( be carefull a few dodgy areas round there so do your homework ) dont get me wrong there are some great places in these areas you just gotta do your homework .

If you could get somewhere in Garston thats less than 10 mins from the airport .

There are some apartments offered on laterooms
121-131 hansby Drive 1 mile from the airport - listed as Luxury Duplex Apartments Liverpool airport again see if you could get a deal on these for long term .

Some good estate agents are

www.venmores.co.uk
www.suttonkersh.co.uk
www.rewproperty.co.uk

you have also got the holiday inn express a 5 minute walk to the airport .

there is also a couple of b&bs Wells House Bed & Breakfast 45 greyhound rd speke - Gateway Lodge Church Rd not sure of the number ....you could see what it was like maybe do a deal with the owners

hope that helps
