Boris flies in Typhoon

The question is... why? he had already got his marching orders, so does he now see the RAF as his plaything before he is gone? I know training has to be maintained etc, but this just seems bad timing as the rest of the UK is tightening its belt. BTW, I thought they had binned all the two seaters?

More to the point, how did he pass the medical, and where did they get a g suit to fit him? Or did he get a pass as PM and they just trundled him around a bit?

This must have been on the cards for a wee while I imagine - That's not the kind of thing that get's pulled together at a couple of weeks notice.

As was briefed to myself three times I flew as Cat B pax in ejection seat fitted aircraft. Clear visor down at all times. However we know taking in information and application of it is not someone's strong point.

Clear & gloves?!

Surely for canopy manipulation & det cord & bird stike & cockpit fire & command ejection & all other possibilities, visor & gloves are mandatory, or is arrogance & over-assuredness in passengers now tolerated?

To tell the truth, If I became PM a Typhoon ride would be the first thing I organised, not the last!

The first batch of 16 T.1 two-seaters were binned, but six T.3s were added later and remain in service.

All of a parcel, with ignoring briefs, (the written and spoken versions !), 'rules are for proles' attitude and a teenager's intolerance of other peoples' knowledge. The wonder of it (and the pity) is that such an entrenched attitude has not brought about its natural conclusion - so far !
