RIAT in the quiet lands behind the Malvern hills

1406 Friday, in the quiet lands behind the Malvern hills.
5 Tornadoes, 4 Typhoons, and an unseen outlier. Noise wonderful, actually not enough because of the sedate speed and loose tactical formation.
RIAT ? If so please repeat tomorrow, etc; target Dymock International, www.ledburyairfield.co.uk N52°00.20 W002°28.58 just East of the TV mast and cider brewery. The cider (last years harvest) needs a bit of a stir due to the shortage of CO2.

1413 again!

About an hour before that it sounded like WWIII had started here. I've never head Coningsby launch so many jets in one go before.

I was there at Coningsby, it was an impressive launch, I enjoyed it.
shame they weren't able to do the display due to the weather though.

Alas the weather Gods didn't play ball - 30 minutes earlier or later and they would orobably have got it through. Shame they hadn't planned for a cut-down flypast given the weather forecast. Hey ho

Launching them with a "Sierra Sierra" from their dispersal at Finningley, then going out from the 1Gp Ops room at Bawtry Hall to hear them roaring overhead sent a tingle up the spine.

Then going back inside to fend off irate phone falls from locals!
