Don't recall seeing anything of the NAAFI during GW1 - and as for BFBS, they only turned up at Riyadh KKIA a couple of days after the war had been won...

Used to say then it was Not Anywhere Around Falkland Islands.......
But the "No Ambition" tag was longer lasting and more memorable. In Germany once I got stiffed to write an article on NAAFI for the Station Mag - so I titled the (directed to be) admiring article "Ambition and Interest" - amazingly it got past the censors (OC Admin) and was duly printed under that title!
