For some the hours hang heavy. And there's nothing more tedious than writing minutes.
I don't own this space under my name. I should have leased it while I still could
Most people are happy to take minutes but the taker of the clock shows he had time on his hands

Would a military clock be allowed to strike?

Will be yesterday?

MPN, no I didn't, but the clock is a 12 hour repeater so the same pun can be rewound every 12 hours.

So presumably Twelve O'clock High is still showing twice daily.....

Only if PN winds it up regularly. He should manage that, as someone who only usually worked once a week

How do they manage an 8 day clock? What are the SOPs?
On these thin threads hung the survival of Great Britain.
- Someone winds it every Sunday [but if there's a raid on, someone might forget?]
- Aged Retainer comes in once a week to wind it [what happens if he gets sick, or dies?]
- Duty Airman issued with key, winding for the use of [what happens if he's sick, hungover or forgetful?]

In those days there were plenty of airmen so a clock watcher would be no problem.
Now if they had a clock watcher today it would not have been nicked

Details, details ... they're the things that make things work.
... like the killer Beagle guarding the clock, accompanied by his RAFP Feeding-Person.
