Project Propeller - Scampton?

Anyone know the latest about Project Propeller which was due to take place at Scampton on Saturday 4th June?

I was told this afternoon that it has been moved to Wickenby and that some of the pilots will have to fly in to Humberside and then the veterans will get taxis to Wickenby!

Leeds East... Other options I suppose could have been York South, Hull West or Sherburn Slightly North. Or even Church Fenton Central.

Wickenby runway isn't the longest in the world, you wouldn't want to be getting a laden spamcan out of there on a hot day.

Thanks

Thanks JOE-FBS for the links. Great that Church Fenton have stepped in to host the veterans, though I know of a couple of the veterans will be disappointed that they won't be returning to Scampton by air.

The organisers have done an excellent job in a short time to re-arrange the event.

Goodness me, Graham, the organiser, must have lost a few hairs over this. Good effort.
