URGENT , RUISLIP Tomorrow URGENT , URGENT
MELVIN RECTOR
UNITED STATES ARMY AIR FORCE
1943-1946 served in UK in 96 Bomb Group .
FUNERAL SERVICE
Family in US please honour Marvin
BREAKSPEAR CREMATORIUM Ruislip.
WEDNESDAY 18TH MAY 2016
1245 HRS
Melvin Rector funeral tomorrow Breakspear Crematorium Ruislip Mr Rector served in the US Army Air Force from 1943 to 1945 and was in the UK on a trip to visit the site of his old squadron when he died of a heart attack in the Battle of Britain Club in Uxbridge. His family are in the USA
Marvin served in Uk in 96 bomb disposal.

Hmm, my home turf as I was growing up and Mum and Dad both cremated there (Breakspeare was the one and only English Pope ever). Has anyone told RAFA and RAF Northolt? Just a thought.

Sadly miles from me, but I have added a link on the Flypast forums.

I would like to add my heartfelt sympathies to the family who have been tragically robbed of the chance to wish him goodbye.

That was very well done. Lot of dust in the air watching the Anglia News video. Had not appreciated that he had been in the "Memphis belle" crew, but had thought she was at Bassingbourn rather than Snetterton
