My Private Air Display

Just a quick note to say Thank You to all who were taking part in yesterday's exercise in the skies over Northumberland.

At around 19:00 yesterday evening, I was treated to some wonderful high level manoeuvres overhead Widdrington and out to the coast, leaving intricate vapour trails and all with a background of clear blue skies.
Just like a scene from the Battle of Britain, It was a joy to see.

My dicky ticker stops me from using my PPL these days, but I still enjoy taking to the skies with my eyes.

Good luck to everyone involved in the remainder of the excersise and stay safe.

does that make it 'our private air display'

My only disappointment was that I couldn't track any of it on FR24 (only the F20s seem 'visible' there).

It certainly was as I was the only one in my back garden at the time!

Don't tell the CAA - they'll charge you a couple of grand for such an event.
