Pud Holloway passed away

Wing Commander Robin 'Pud' Holloway MBE RAF died peacefully 2nd February 2016 at age 83 after a courageous battle with Parkinsons. Robin leaves his wife Marian and daughters Angela and Caroline in good health. He will be cremated at a family service on Tuesday 16 February. A Thanksgiving Service will be held later at 12 noon at St Nicholas of Myra in the village of Worth Matravers, nr Swanage, Dorset (BH19 3LQ).

I never knew him, but this does at least deserve a response.

'Pud' Holloway was OC Ops at Lossie in the late 70s when the station was racked by a dreadful number of Jaguar accidents. As a young SAC, at the time, he was always a constant figure in the old ops building, before the WOC was built.

Pud was my flight commander on 54(F) Sqn in 1965 - a very genuine and dedicated member of our fraternity. Maybe it's my age, but we are losing too many of the best of breed.

Pud was my boss at Lossie. He always had a great smile; that is how I remember him. RIP old buddy.
