RAF Phantom/Lightning Squadrons

I've just managed to tidy my attic up a bit and during the process discovered my collection of signed RAF prints which I put together during the 1980's and 90's. I thought some here may be interested in seeing some of the names on the prints.

I've edited out the aircraft images as I'm not sure about copyright laws and rules over infringement by posting a picture of the artwork.

Anyway, hopefully this triggers some memories for anyone who signed the prints or know the people on them. I have quite a few more signed Phantom, Buccaneer, Tornado and Lightning prints, if anyone is interested I will get pictures of them.

Good post. Goodness, there are some names there!

And, yes, please post the others you have if you get the time. Always fun.

The top print records the 168 aircraft Queen's Birthday Flypast of 1990 and has the signatures of the F4 contingent. As such there are the signatures of 4 x 4-ships, two from Wildenrath and two from Wattisham (plus spares and whips). We all signed copies for all of the squadron funds - I remember the writer's cramps almost as much as the hangover after the party.

Not sure about the copyright but no charge for my signature!

Here is my favourite print, which I now have on my study wall. Artist: S. Black?

(No copyright statement on it so I hope the owner does not mind me posting this. Please let me know if there is a problem and I will remove. Thanks)

Hmmm ... i used to paint aircraft profiles [all originals, no prints]. I wonder if anyone here has some of mine?

They were dirt cheap!! I did a set of his flying career for the landlord of a Pub near CSL.
