Exclamation 28 Squadron RAF Centenary

28 Squadron will be celebrating its centenary year on the 7 April 2016 (slightly later than planned due to the standing up of the Sqn as an OCU on 21 Oct 15).

This celebration will coincide with the handover of the newly refurbished and rebuilt B Hangar at RAF Benson which 28 Sqn will call home from that date. To ensure this dual celebration is remembered and commemorated, 28 Sqn will be carrying out a Parade as well as a formal opening of the building. This will be followed by a buffet for current and former members of the Sqn and their families plus guests. The day will conclude with a formal all ranks dinner in the hangar in the evening and some entertainment.

28 Squadron wishes to invite serving 28 Sqn personnel, both past and present throughout the years to join us in the celebrations both during the day and in the evening. If you would like to attend please email your interest to [email protected]. Please include your name, contact details and your status with 28 Squadron.

Places for the dinner are limited. More details of the event will be released in due course, but in the meantime, please feel free to distribute this message to anyone who is serving on, or who has served on 28 Sqn.

Hi Pheasant,

28 Sqn reformed in Oct 2015 as the combined OCU for Chinook and Puma helicopter training, It remains a RAF Sqn.

Ladies and Gents,
Last call for 28 Sqn Centenary Dinner on 7 April 2016.
If you want to come please do not delay putting your name down as the book closes on 8 March. Partners are also welcome.

The Centenary Committee have worked hard to secure additional funding and it promises to be a great party for both current and former members of 28 Sqn and their guests.

There have been problems with the Centenary Multiuser email address sadly so it appears not everyone who has requested to attend has been put on the list. If you are unsure, please either check the closed Facebook Page (28 (Army Cooperation) Squadron, Royal Air Force) or PM this account.

If you have not yet applied, either PM this account or email [email protected]

To confirm the details

When: 7 Apr 16
Where: B Hangar Benson
Cost: Expected to be £30 (Maximum £50), this is heavily subsidised thanks to sponsors for 3 Course Dinner and wine.
Dress: 1's for the day, 5's for the evening or equivalent.
RSVP: by COP 8 March 16
