Two US military helicopters collide near Hawaii

On the BBC web site. No firm news on casualties but it does not sound good.
Fingers crossed...

From a Pentagon spokesman:

Fireball reported by witness around 2340 hours local.

First responders arrived around midnight finding burning wreckage that had drifted about 0.5 mile offshore and an empty life raft in the water.

Wreckage had drifted to 8 miles off shore by 0530 hours local.

30 ft -40 ft waves expected in the area.

So, sadly, not looking good.

Sad Day here.....just learned a friend's Son was on board one of the Aircraft.

Some Family members stood on an Oregon Beach at Sunrise yesterday Morning looking towards where that Young Marine was lost.

Heavy Heart this Morning upon hearing of their Loss.

l feel for you and the family SASless,

So sad, no parent should outlive their children, if it does turn out to be the case, my condolences to the families in this tragic accident.
