Flt Lt (Retired) Harry Gordon Albert Walker

It is with great sadness that I post the news of Gordon's passing last Thursday after a lengthy struggle with lymphoma. The funeral will be in the RC Church in Bury St Edmunds; I'm in contact with his family and will post the date when it is decided.
I was hoping to meet him at the Tornado GW I reunion in the Forest of Arden next year; sadly I left it too late to visit him.

RIP Hagar

A good man who will be missed.
If I can make it I will try and get to the funeral.

Gordon's funeral is at 1100 on 10 September in St Edmund's RC Church in Bury St Edmund's. The time may be moved a little later to accommodate attendees who have greater distances to travel.

I will update as required.

Was this the same Gordon Walker who flew on Canberras out of Wyton in the mid 80s?

Yes, he progressed from Canberras to Tornado. In 1996 he worked for BAe in Saudi (Khamis Mushayt), then the CAA. You wouldn't mistake him - big man with a matching personality.

Very sad news indeed. Hadn't seen him for over 20 years until the Fin Fest earlier this year.

I'll raise a glass to you this evening WAK.
