Pilots fly through hangar at 185mph in dramatic world first
Two British pilots have given a new meaning to barnstorming after flying their planes in formation through an outbuilding at 185mph.
Paul Bonhomme and Steve Jones recorded the world first in a 25-foot high hangar in North Wales. Due to the nature of the challenge, the pilots were required to get special permission from the Civil Aviation Authority, who were on site to oversee the manoeuvre.
Speaking after the events Mr Bonhomme said: "Ultimately if we get it wrong we hit a building, so pulling up and seeing Steve still there, there was a great sense of relief; but it was really great fun and also slightly bizarre flying through a building with my mate.”.....

Good footage and great skill.
How long, I wonder, before some lesser able and non-authorised individual thinks it is within their ability to have a go at something similar, with disastrous consequences...

Always the way, though, isn't it?
Flying under power lines or bridges, or buzzing the girlfriend's house, often ends in tears.
Superb flying, however.

Have a look at it on the full YouTube site - the ability to manipulate the view using the 360 POV facility is very impressive.
One for the Reds to consider - 360 POV not the hangar flying. Although a 9 ship through the Cardington hangar ....

James Bond did this years ago. Here is the pilot and the story of how to do it safely :

I hope the 'No smoking in the hangar' signs were taken down.
and what exactly did the CAA plan to do, if part way through they didn't like the look of it?

Mechta I wondered about that to.
Plus what was the brief to the CAA?
"Er, well they open the doors, we fly really, really low, go through the hangar and then climb out."
Tongue in cheek mode off
