Simon Ruddock-West - Sad News

Just heard Simon Ruddock-West (ex Nimrod Nav) passed away yesterday 24 Feb 15.
Sad news, Simon lived life to the full, I have some great memories of my time with him in maritime and in various get togethers since.
Heartfelt condolences to his family. I'll miss bumping into him around the bazaars, it was always a pleasure to have a drink with him and rehash the times we had on 42 (TB). RIP Simon.

That is just too sad for words. Simon was two years below me at NUAS and what a time we had. RIP Mate.

Rubber-Vest was able to stimulate a wide-variety of opinions around the community, but he was undoubtedly one of maritime's life-enriching characters and I am extraordinarily sad to hear this news. I always smile when i see red socks - thanks R-V

Sad news indeed. I was his 2nd Nav & minder (failed) on the previously mentioned Fincastle.

The funeral details are as follows:

"13:30 on 23rd March at St.Georges Kemp Town, Brighton.BN1 2DJ . Everybody is invited to the Bristol Arms afterwards and the house. Adele has caterers coming so could you either let her know or PM me & I'll pass on your acceptance."
