Meteor PR19; was it real?
Just read an intriguing article at U-2A Operations RAE | Farnborough-aviation-Group purporting to describe the development and use of the above and which rivalled the U2 in all aspects except range.
I can't believe that I somehow missed knowing about this aircraft which supposedly wasn't retired until 1985, especially as I worked at Farnborough from 1974 to 2008 so is the story 'tongue in cheek' or did it really exist?
NB Yes it clearly says Meteor not Canberra.
