You southerners have all got it wrong. As you drive north from London on the Great North Road, the A1, all signs say to the north. North of Grantham you are in the midlands. Signs still say to the north until you reach Scotch Corner. That is where the north begins. Leeds, Manchester, York, Sheffield are all in the midlands. The north begins at Scotch Corner!!

Nobody seems to be the least bit concerned about the fate of the bird. Who knows what the last thing was that went through its mind?

It's beak

I notice that the MSM have missed this incident even though
they ran stories on the Red Arrows display.

Probably it's arse, it's beak would have been first.

If it was a head on collision then the arsehole would have been closely followed by the tail feathers

Might have been the beak, if it was overtaken by the 'awk.

That could take a while to fix. If it were just the skin it could be patched up and fixed properly over the winter. If the frames are damaged (and it looks like the next row of rivets have pulled out) then a new frame(s) will have to be fabricated. I guess they will be one smoker down for a while.

Nawth and sarf

When I left Cosford in 1970 I was presented with a map of England that was accurate to the middle of the Thames. Above it was blank inscribed "here be ye Dragonnes!"
That's the north south divide!

Tis a mere scratch, just a bit of speed tape and bend the Pitot back into line. Or if really concerned cut a few coke cans into shape and pop rivet a patch over t'ole.

p.s. don't shoot me, I don't often post ;-)
