Cold War Jet Photoshoot this weekend 2013

Just in case any of you are interested and are unaware

I have just seen the following posted on the Bruntingthorpe Facebook page and thought it may be of interest to some.

A photo shoot is being lined up for November 17th with approx 29 cold war jets on the runway!! Normal museum admission fee applies. Right here goes, 3 VC10s, Nimrod, Victor, Comet, Canberra, 2 Lightnings, 5 Jet Provosts, 3 Hunters, 3 Buccaneers, Sea Harrier, Star Fighter, Sea Vixen, Jaguar, Mystere, Meteor, L29 Delphin, Jetstream. The new Tornado, the Raspberry ripple Jag & Iskra are either under rebuild or maintenance.........PHEW!! lol Pay at the gatehouse on the way in, it's the brain child of Gary Spoors, GJD director.
And a Scout helicopter

NL, at least she wasn't as rotten as the AD grey one that was slowly decomposing next to her. Lots of filler required.. But good on EA for 'saving them'.

Not sure what to think about this. Maybe "good on em" if they did indeed "save" XT597, or did they just offer the most money for it? More to the point, if they're seriously asking for 75K it's unlikely to be sold. What happens then? A really unusual and historic aeroplane gets left to rot - again?

Why the hell couldn't QinetiQ let the aircraft go to Old Sarum? I still haven't worked out why they couldn't allow a museum to stay on such a huge (and under-used) site?

I'll do a swap. Detailed photos of Ms Wayward Body err "doing things" with a
Mars Bar (1970s wrapper), for a copy of the Phantom "beat up" video of the
Cranwell Passing Out Parade 1987.
Any offers?
