Not sure. I am no expert on UAV's but it could be.
They did say the new one could go 24 hours, this one
looks a bit thin ? Not sure how it is powered etc etc.
I need to have another look at the video and see what else
is in there as it may be a collection of "older" UAV's with
that at 1.08 being one of them.

Mike
surely thats the Karrar??
the new one ("Shahed 129") seems to be something different
If you Google Shahed 129, this below is the only image identified under that name - however the next post on the thread its on states "wrong image...."
This also seems to be the Karrar???
So maybe one drone, two names? Or something not yet public? The image in the first post is clearly "wrong"

thats my point - the only images of the supposed Shahed-129 either show the Karrar, or that old mockup from the first post.
Question is, is that still you posted of the same machine but with a different paint job?

It is probably worth considering the implications if they did have limited capability low tech UAVs in large numbers - which could be readily mass produced so as to have swarms of the damn things. Even if they were only capable of hitting an aircraft carrier one time in ten and they launched a hundred or two in a swarm - not unfeasible - even the Aegis and CIWS would be maxed out would they not? And that could end in a real mess...
That low tech mass numbers approach can overwhelm modern swiss-watch solutions that the West so love, I wouldn't dismiss it too fast.
That 206 based helo could be a serious pest too if they had enough to swamp the defenses, and at the cost of those they could afford hundreds. Remember what fuzzy-wuzzies with asssegais did to the British Square on occasion. History leaves us a lesson there does it not?

I tend to agree, cheap swarms to over come the defences.
I would like to read any articles on any tests done against our systems
by swarms of UAV's or whatever. Have never seen anything.
And you could even have the odd real aircraft in their as well
with a few bigger missiles.

Cool.

If you built a high-tech, LO missile that could achieve that you would be a very happy man!
Your point re large numbers does have merit but the limiting factor on things like this is the support/launch and data link systems supporting them. Not so easy to achieve without making them vulnerable to counter-strike leaving you with sheds of cheap drones but no way to launch or control them.
