Dawlish Airshow

It's been a while since I've posted any images, but I think this event deserves a bit of wider exposure here, particularly given the excellent military support it received.

This is essentially a FREE airshow that survives solely on sponsorship and donations.

Top marks to everyone concerned. A cracking event!

Lovely pics, Karl.

A couple of the paramedics I have been working with live near there; they were full of praise for the Dawlish show, said how much they'd enjoyed it. Only thing they missed from the previous year was the Chinook display, which was rated top of the pile.

Thanks for the positive responses.

Thud - the organisers were keen to get the Chinook back themselves, but alas it wasn't allocated to them. I've no doubts about how good it would've looked from 'the hill'! That said, I don't think they can have too many complaints about what they did get though! Imagine what they'd be able to achieve if the local council were actually willing to throw some cash at it...

Is it just me, or are all those Royal Air Force stencils becoming a little much?

Cracking photos Karl and finally a use for the Merlin mk3a!
