Someone fetch some more framing! I've discovered that if I slouch down, hunch over and tilt my head just so, I can still see out.

Never heard of it before - and I was out there at the time ! It was ever thus. Looks a useful bit of machinery, if it had gone into production, would have made mincemeat out of me, just as well HarryTruman said "yes" when he did.

Seriously, what is this thing ?

At the latest design awards dinner Heinkel were pleased to win two awards, the "how the hell did that get out of the design office" award and the supreme trophy, the Herman Goering award for "Actually Getting the thing built by the Luftwaffe".
