What was it?
I should have recognised it but anyone spot and id the black aircraft transiting over Lyneham today around 15:00 and headed in the rough direction of Fairford or Brize.
Rough description (very): Black, twin jet (engines or possibly pods appx 1/3 of the wing length from the fuselage), long wings (bit like a U2 or the US mucked about version of the Canbarra), long nose section.
Any ideas please?

I'm guessing it was the Kemble-based Canberra - it was definitely flying a couple of days ago. Silver though.

Not the Kemble Canberra, it was def black and the wingspan was too large outboard of the engines/pods.
Think the U2 is the best match
