We can but hope - marital status is irrelevant in cases like this. It rightly should be about whether you have and your own home and would be living in it if it weren't for the requirement of the Service for you to work away from home during the week.
Given the pace of change, it may well not help here, but it will go a long way to correcting an anomaly, undoubtedly improving morale and possibly even the perception of TACOS, which then might just encourage a few people to stay on. It would be an easy win for both sides, let's hope logic and sense wins through for once!
