44(Rhodesia) Sqn Association

Does anyone know if there is still an active Association for 44 (Rhodesia) Sqn? My grandfather flew Lancasters with them for most of his wartime Service and I am interested in tracking down some history as I go through his log books. He died a few years ago and I have only recently had a chance to give his log books some overdue attention.

An internet search brings up some old details but it seems they are not current, hopefully the assembled minds of PPRuNe can help.

Many thanks in advance,

WhiteOvies

There are several sites for Rhodesians which might make a good start.
Rhodesians Worldwide - contact site for folk from Rhodesia
https://www.facebook.com/rhodesiansworldwide
Rhodesians WorldwideŽ
Rhodesians WorldwideŽ
RHODESIANS
Rhodesian Directory Service

Some of these may resolve to the same site(s), it's just a list I happened to have.

There's also www.bsap.org

44 Sqn Assocn

White Ovies,

The answer is yes it is very much alive. I have just had a chat with my mate who is the editor of the 44 Sqn. Newsletter and he tells me that the man to contact is Henry Horscroft on 01522 868653.

PM me if you need further details.
