Plymouth Argyle lost one of their staunchest supporters that day.
RIP Andy Johns and the rest of you guys.

WASALOADIE let me know that he had put in this link. Sorry about the muddle with the date in the title. I got mixed up with ZA 715, a year before.

The sentiment is the same though.

I went through AEOp training with Andy 1978/79 until he failed the Nimrod OCU and was offered ALM. Thoroughly nice bloke and a great loss.

The Plymouth Argyle scarf I was brought by my dad 27 years ago at our one and only game is now proudly displayed on my sons wall, they lost a supporter but have gained two... I'm trying to track down people who knew my Dad and what he was like etc, I remember very little of him being only four when he died..

I'm 31 now and he died when he was 30, my mum says I share his drinking habits! Any information or memories would be greatly received....

Thanks
