ALM Association Memorial stone dedication

An auspicious day. Today saw the dedication and unveiling of a memorial stone for AQM'S,ALM's and WSOp Crewmen who have lost their lives in service since the second world war. The ceremony was held at the National Memorial Arboretum and well attended by association members, serving ALM's/WSOp's and some non-members. A moving day and to any trade brevet holders well worth a look at if visiting Arlewas. Thanks to ALL who were there today it made it so much more worthwhile. It was quite moving when the names of those remembered were read out and I realized that I knew at least a third of them personally. Thanks also to the crews from Shawbury and Odiham for their flypasts, a fitting end to the day.
