Height of a Merlin HC3??
Not that Im a spotter you understand....but....
I would like to know what the height of the RAF's HC3/HC3A are.
A bit random I know and if anyone who does know and is curious to why I would want this information please feel free to pm me.
Needless to say its not for my personal gain, or that of Ivan, its to do with the hangar doors at my work!
Many thanks
Red

6.62 meters
Bugger, I meant meters...Doh, metres.
Note to self. Avoid drinking wine at lunchtime reunions and then trying to type!
Thanks Runaway.

Jesus H Christ the guy asked for a simple ****ing dimension. Any reason for the usual smug bullcrap? No, is the answer, since no-one 'round here seems to understand a rhetorical question.

WW. To quote Wikipedia:
A rhetorical question is a figure of speech in the form of a question posed for its persuasive effect without the expectation of a reply.
Me thinks you might not know the meaning. Case closed! Post something of bloody interest. Or ask Google or a C17 loadie for the answer!!! I'm off; with Back of Bus!

The clue is in the name 512........ LOADie.
With regards to being 'packed up', ever heard the phrase
"if you have a dog, why bark yourself?"
but thanks though, it does save coming in even earlier in the morning.

Fair enough 512, it is an 'in joke' that BEoTB was referring to. Not my place to explain it I'm afraid!!
The point still stands though, the 'Loadie' (Crewman is the modern parlance!) should(!) know the dimensions to the cm, along with the rest of the crew.
So hangar doors or C17, it matters not.
