The display will last 6 minutes and contain straight and level flight only, following extensive integration working group profiling and in keeping with H&S and MAA guidelines. The accompanying commentary will contain some details of the display, but will concentrate on delivering core values and ethos to the intended demographic. Due to extensive cuts to the RAFAT budget, the number of displays has been cut dramatically. The team will now only display at the following venues:
Paris Air Show Rio De Janiero Mardi Gras New York Independance Day FlyPast Johannasburg Airshow Honolulu Fly-In Weekend Prague Airshow Maldives Aviation Festival
I've had a thought about the new display. They may need to remove the "level" bit as well, in order to include all the people who are not "Widow's sons" as they say.

It doesn’t matter how many times they go "up-diddly-up-up", they're still gits!

MGD, well done - a pretty fair assessment of corporate strategy in this day and age, I'd think. Shouldn't there be some sort of equalities officer in there too? Preferably outwardly female, white, blonde haired, blue eyed, and determined to see more 'ethnicity' in the mix, along with a degree of ambivalence about gender?
I was going to suggest that some of the senior officers should be required to be gay, but then I can't help feeling that many probably are - it's a side effect of spending so much time up your boss's ahhhhhhnd another thing...
Well done, a well crafted and humorous take on a favourite PPRuNe theme....
Yes, a very fair and reasoned structure. Lacking though, I fear, in a couple of key areas- which could be filled as follows: Liaison officer- newest and bestest nearest 'n' dearest
(must be french speaking- geddit?) to be filled by a top end flt lt- success in this role ( defined as not starting WWIII ) rewarded with MBE and promotion. Legal officer preferably with a degree in vetinerary studies. To handle off the wall claims from people claiming that their angora / llama / hippopotamus kicked the bucket as a result of the display. Flypast community mix compliance officer to ensure that when a vet requests an en route flyover, the audience will consist of a proper mix of M/F (that's the easy bit) B/W, straight/ gay, etc, and the odd p1key.
I'm sure that there are other gaps to be filled. By the way, I'm assuming it's "no manoeuvres or turns below FL250" for H & S reasons?
When balanced by the kick in the slats that our people are getting these days I believe that RAFAT should cease with immediate effect. The public will believe that everything is ok until they are directly effected and the demise of RAFAT would send a strong signal. It is time that the public arena had a strong smell of coffee circulating. I believe that BBMF are intent on sending the Dakota to India on a visit.......... ....and I am quite sure that the only reason UAS have ducked the SDSR radar is because they double up as a former senior officer flying club.
We really should bring the reality of the SDSR Crisis to bare down on the taxpayer. ...and it is: A Crisis!
