Franco-swiss exercise Epervier 2010
Hello chaps,
The French Squadron 01.002 Cigognes (Stork) and the 17 Wing of the Swiss Air Force just completed the binational exercise Epervier 2010. Some pictures were taken during an exhibition flight with a Mirage IIIBS, now retired. They are so good that we can't resist to share them with aviation enthusiasts. Hope you will enjoy.

Rather unusual, a Swiss-registered civil Mirage, HB-RDF, in Swiss air force markings taking part in a bi-national air exercise that included aerial refuelling formation flying - what gives?

The pictures with the Mirage III were not made in the same flight as the aerial refueling.

ftrplt fr: Thanks for the new photos
and yes, I was wide awake; and of course you can't remember - that was the point of the wine!
Always remember the excellent welcome we got from the French though.. would have been happy to go and lose..

Are you cleared to prod the 'Deux mille' against the Il-78?

BEagle, do yourself a favour and stop sucking garlic.
They'll only **** you over in the end...sooner or later.
ps the shots are slightly overexposed, nice, but next time leave it to a pro.

Vraiment super!
Merci beaucoup!
The Swiss Mirage is, I think, the one based at Payerne, where 'trips round the bay' are available in the back seat...if you can afford it
There're similar set ups to Thunder City in Switzerland, with flights available in a Vampire, Mirages, and several Hunters(Payerne,Sankt Stephan, and Altenrhein).
Always found the Swiss very accomodating when it comes to taking photos...
